About Ciara

Director | Dramaturg | Producer | Company Manager

Ciara Berardi (she/her) is a director, dramaturg, producer, and company manager. Using her experience in dramaturgy to develop a deeper understanding of the text, she goes further with worldbuilding as a tool to reconceptualize a story while connecting to an audience. As a director that utilizes this skill, she rotates through a range of research, communicates directly with the actors and crew, and creates audience engagement and educational programming. She recently graduated this fall with her BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Directing and Dramaturgy from Emerson College. She is currently the Production Management Assistant at Two River Theater.

Ciara has always been obsessed with the idea that theatre is the perfect art form. All forms of art come together to create something larger than life. This method of breaking the restrictions of creativity is what led Ciara into her love of theatre. She is drawn to  practicing her personal values and skills: collaboration, learning to understand the people she engages with, and embracing change all while not restricting herself to one position.

In the past, Ciara has collaborated in various adaptations of shows such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale, and Metamorphosis. Her passion lies in adapting and reformulating classic texts to showcase their relevance in the modern day.

She has also assisted and worked with accomplished artists such as Rebecca Goodheart, Ilana Ransom Toeplitz, Annie G. Levy, Aneesha Kudtarkar, and more.
